We've been learning about ancient Egypt and the importance of the Nile. You can read the paragraph below that the students wrote in class today. You can ask your child to share more details about what we talked about in class! 

Our class had the privilege of working with the GLAD trainers last week. We had a lot of fun learning about Mesoamerican cultures, and we finished the unit this week. I also sent home the chapter 3 test today. Students have the opportunity to correct errors and improve their test score. However, if they want me to do the work of scoring their test a second time, they have to do the work of doing error analysis--they have to write the reasons why they got the answers wrong. They should staple the paper with their error analysis to the corrected test paper and turn it back in to me when they come back the first week in January to have it count for their first semester grade.
