Apart from a final bit of assessment, we finished our unit on the Explorers this week with the students presenting all their projects: PowerPoints, websites, or Big Books. We learned a lot of information from the research everyone did, and we did some analysis of why explorers launched and the impacts they had. Now the students are writing fiction pieces based on their own explorers. They each get to choose the type of fiction. I will include the directions here.
