So much for telling everyone that they HAD to get their science fair project turned in by Wednesday. Nature took that right out of my hands! So instead of fining people for being late today, I gave the kids who got theirs in ahead of time a bonus of $50. Wow!
Then I said everyone REALLY had to get it turned in by Monday. (According to what they are telling me, it's mostly just last little fixes and printing to do now.)
We did do a simplified version of our 20s Decade Day today. I was in my short, sleeveless flapper dress in our dark, unheated classroom! A couple of girls came in their flapper clothes too. Brrr! But we had fun playing a game and then working on crossword puzzles. (Did you know crosswords were invented in the 20s?) I brought 7-Up and Milk Duds, also innovations from the 20s.
Have a great Thanksgiving!
