Four people from the Keyport Naval Museum introduced Remote Operated Vehicles to the class.They brought crates of materials so teams of 3-4 students could work together to build their own ROVs. Then they brought tanks of water to test them.
On Thursday we will go to the museum where the teams will continue to test their ROVs, this time in a larger pool.
Students will print their paragraphs for social studies TODAY and take them home TONIGHT to get PARENT HELP with revising and editing. They will bring the paragraphs back to class TOMORROW. In the lab tomorrow they will complete their final draft, polished copy to turn in to me at the end of the period.
Everyone finished their first genre book--AR test, worksheet, and book project. They should have picked out their second genre book and started reading it by now. Many have already decided on their project for their second book.
We just started on our first poetry readings. I am teaching public speaking tips. Ask your child about "Superman pose" or "three plus me."
