On Thursday and Friday we went into the computer lab and fixed a lot of common format errors. We looked again at how to set up the "List of Works Consulted" page and how to do the web page entries (which seem to be the most common types of entries).
Students are working to improve the parts of their project they already finished, and they are working to finish any missing parts:
- background research (They should come up with a snazzy title for their project and put it here!)
- list of works consulted
- question
- hypothesis
- materials and equipment list (This list can be bulleted.)
- procedure (This set of directions should be numbered. See the MLA format guidelines for how to do numbers.)
Parents, you are allowed to help with conventions, spelling, grammar. You can also point out when something does not make sense or isn't accurate. Your child needs to do the fixing, but you can show where the work needs to be fixed. The more adult eyeballs on the pages, the better!
